RESOURCING RESISTANCE
In these difficult times, how do we stay with what we feel - grief, rage, love - without losing ourselves?
How do we root into joy and pleasure as part of our resistance? How do we remember that we don’t have to carry it alone?
Resourcing Resistance is a 6 week course in Bristol for activists or organisers longing for a more resourced, connected way to stay in the work you’re doing. These images hold something of what was explored in the first Resourcing Resistance course, and how across those 6 weeks, bodies moved, soften, and connected.
Capturing movement is always a pleasure, but particularly when it has such powerful roots. Movement as an act of resistance, and learning how to navigate and channel the energies within our bodies isn’t always easy - and as an artist, capturing people exploring this process was fascinating. Particularly how people came together and connected with others. It was pure, vulnerable, and raw - and I hope the artwork shows that.
Thank you to Rhiannon Colvin for this work.
