Having lived in Bristol for over a decade, I’ve watched Upfest transform walls across the city year after year, filling them with incredible artwork from artists from across the globe. It was a real honour to be selected to take part in the 2026 festival and contribute a piece of my own to the city.

This install gave the opportunity to step away from briefs and simply paint for the enjoyment of creating. With no set criteria to meet, I was able to experiment, push my visual language and explore my creativity in new ways.

Having the freedom to make work purely for the sake of making it is something I really value. Projects like this remind me why I love being an artist - the opportunity to play, experiment and create something that feels alive.

My piece is installed on the corner of North Street and Langton Park, adjacent to The Premier.
